Part 119: Missed NPC Chatter
Welcome back! ... to Parm, that is. There's a few dialog boxes that I've missed, and I'm sure you've all just been chomping at the bit to point out my mistake.We'll start... back when hunting for the Four Treasures. Gantz has a few more lines that I missed. The first is triggered after you've found the Pot and Lid, but before you've talked to Tentz about the key.
: How rude you are! I'm not dull-witted at all.
: 'Course Justin is pretty dull.
: Hey, Sue! Whose side are you on anyway!?
Next up, after you've talked to Tentz, but before you've picked up the key.
: It's almost sundown....
: Looks like I'm gonna win, Justin. Sue, you're gonna be in my gang.
: Let's try the square in front of the cafe again! We've got no time to waste!
Next up is, unsurprisingly, after you've gotten the key, but before getting the sword.
: Heh heh heh! It's almost sundown! You guys are gonna lose, Justin.
: You hear, Justin? Let's keep it a secret that we got the key from Tentz, OK?
Next up is an examinable part of town that... I'm not sure if I've ever found. I seem to recall triggering it once or twice way back when, but I'm not certain.
Beautiful.
Next up is the one that I know I never triggered myself.
H-hey! Get out of the shot!
Anyway, next up is the fountain out in front of the Seagull.
Now, the fountain is unique in that you get more dialog if you choose not to look. In this case....
: You're right. C'mon, let's go, Justin!
Now, much like the rest of Parm, these things have new text when you come back at other points.
: Oooh, Justin. You just don't understand!
Fun fact: The trigger for the factory is apparently not accessible on the nighttime map.
Next up: After the Leck Mines, without Sue.
: No point in seeing the fountain. I guess I'll go home.
And we'll see off Parm with Justin in the morning, heading for the Steamer.
: I can't be getting all emotional here. I gotta get to the port!
The early-morning map is unique in that the factories aren't open yet. A neat touch.
Whew. Next up, the Steamer.
: I don't quite understand those adults. Can't they give up on coffee at least while they're aboard ship?
Next up, when Sue rejoins us.
: Wow. They even have coffee here. That's a Steamer for you.
: Why do they need coffee?
: Isn't getting seasick enough?
: I guess getting seasick is not quite like getting jittery on coffee. But both of 'em are pretty disgusting.

Yeah. When Feena's with you.
: Wow, Feena, you really know your coffee. Amazing.
: Wow, a real adventurer knows these things.
: Right, Justin!?
: What are you implying, Sue?
: Well, I know a lot about food, right!?
: Hee hee. I certainly can't top Justin when it comes to appetite.
F-Feena?
Anyway, we'll wrap this up by examining it after the Ghost Ship.
: Justin, you can't drink coffee, so don't force yourself.
: I just thought an adventurer would have a cup of coffee.
Oh dear. Feena really is a bad influence on Justin.
